'Kantara' beats Kamal's record in Telugu

The recent national blockbuster 'Kantara' has set out to break the existing non-native collection records in all the languages it has been released. Needless to say, after Kannda, the film scored a minting number only at the Telugu box office.

According to the trade pundits, 'Kantara' Telugu is going to cross 'Vikram' Telugu share in both the Telugu states today, to become 2nd biggest dubbed grosser in Telugu in 2022, marking it as an Incredible achievement.

Now both the top grosser in the Telugu market, 'KGF' & 'Kantara' spots among dubbed films in Telugu for 2022 are being held by Hombale Films. Needless to say, the Telugu market is highly targeted by other industries across the country as it is the only market that made huge profits even during the COVID wave. Looks like the Telugu audience has very good taste & demand for non-native cinema, except for the maiden ones.

On the other end, 'Kantara' makers are served with legal notices under the copyright infringement for the 'Varaaha Roopam' song. The makers are yet to give an official statement regarding this.
