KCR, YS Jagan, Chiranjeevi pay tributes to Kaikala; state funeral on Saturday
KCR, Jagan and Megastar Chiranjeevi condoled the death of veteran actor Kaikala Satyanarayana and paid their rich tributes
HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Megastar Chiranjeevi led a battery of prominent politicians and film personalities who condoled the death of veteran actor Kaikala Satyanarayana and paid their rich tributes. The artiste and former Lok Sabha member passed away at the age of 87 in Hyderabad on Friday owing to age-related issues.
KCR, expressing his condolences, said, "As a first-generation actor in the film industry, Satyanarayana won the admiration of three generations of Telugu audiences through versatile performances in different roles."
KCR announced that the last rites of the actor would be performed with full state honours. The Chief Minister asked Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to make the arrangements accordingly.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, in his condolence message, paid rich tributes to the veteran actor. "The towering film personality has a place of pride in Tollywood, playing a variety of roles in various genres, from mythology to crime thrillers with explicit expressions," said Jagan while conveying his condolences to the bereaved family members.
Condolences also poured in from Tollywood. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, Balakrishna, Mahesh babu, Ravi Teja and several others took to Twitter to express their grief at the passing away of Satyanarayana. They also conveyed their condolences to the family of the actor. The actor will be cremated at the 'Mahaprasthanam' in Jubilee Hills on Saturday.
