King of Kotha Teaser: Dulquer Salmaan as a gangster turns a saviour

HYDERABAD: Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming film 'King of Kotha' carries a lot of expectations, and the makers came up with the film's teaser last night. The teaser hinted that the film would be a thrilling and action-packed drama. Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, the film will be released in August.

The teaser introduces a story about the return of a king who is the only hope for the people to save their land from a menacing demon devouring their children. As the people believe in the return of their savior, they celebrate with a grand festival. The teaser features fire, blood, rawness, gang wars, crime, and intense action to keep the audience hooked.

Dulquer Salmaan's rustic look toward the end of the teaser adds further intrigue.

Written by Abhilash N. Chandran, the film stars Aishwarya Lakshmi as the female lead and Shabeer Kallarakkal as the antagonist. Gokul Suresh, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sudhi Koppa, Nyla Usha, and Shanthi Krishna are also part of the cast. 'King of Kotha' is directed by Abhilash Joshiy and is described as an action gangster noir film set in a fictional town.

Nimish Ravi handles the cinematography, while Shyam Sasidharan does the editing. The film's score is composed by Jakes Bejoy, with songs composed separately by Jakes Bejoy and Shaan Rehman.

'King of Kotha' is produced by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films in collaboration with Zee Studios. The film is set to hit theaters on Onam 2023 (August 24, 2023) in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages.
