Malli Pelli streams on Aha Video; New controversy surfaced
Naresh's ex-wife Ramya Raghupathi has taken legal action by approaching the Court in an attempt to halt the streaming of the film 'Malli Pelli' on OTT platforms
HYDERABAD: Naresh's ex-wife Ramya Raghupathi has taken legal action by approaching the Court in an attempt to halt the streaming of the film 'Malli Pelli' on OTT platforms. She alleges that the movie intends to defame her character and therefore seeks to prevent its release. She has done the same during the film's release too.
Despite creating a buzz during its theatrical run, 'Malli Pelli' is now available for streaming on the popular Telugu platform, Aha. Initially, there were plans for the film to be released on both Aha and Amazon Prime Video. However, only Aha is currently streaming the film, while Prime Video has refrained from doing so.
Ramya's legal action against the film has become a significant hurdle for its release. She claims that the film, starring Naresh and Pavitra, bears striking resemblances to their real lives, despite Naresh's assertion that the story is purely fictional. The court's response to Ramya's last-minute legal intervention remains uncertain.
'Malli Pelli' features notable actors such as Jayasudha, Sarathbabu, Vanitha Vijayakumar, Ananya Nagalla, and Madhoo in pivotal roles. MS Raju directs the film.
