Ponniyin Selvan is one of the upcoming Tamil films, directed by Mani Ratnam. The film is considered his dream project. The makers scheduled the release of the film in two parts. The film's first part will release on the 30th of September. As part of the promotions, the makers released the 'Chola Chola' song yesterday in Hyderabad.

SS Rajamouli is the director from the South who proved to everyone that big-budgeted period flicks could be made, and they would also fetch big profits.
