Massive runtime locked for Vikram's Cobra

It has been ages since Chiyaan Vikram scored a hit. Still, he enjoys massive popularity in both Telugu and Tamil film industries. He is now coming back into theatres with his latest film Cobra. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, this film will hit the screens tomorrow.

Meanwhile, we hear an interesting update about this flick. Reportedly, the runtime of this movie is locked at 183 minutes 03 seconds (3 hours 3 minutes 3 seconds). This is indeed a massive runtime for a film of this age. Already, Vikram is facing criticism that he is not giving significant importance to having a good story in his movies but is only focusing on the type of characters he will be essaying. On top of that, a run time of over 3 hours is also turning out to be a negative aspect of the film before its release.

Nowadays, people are not interested in coming to theatres and watching a film for more than three hours, unless it is a spectacle like RRR or KGF 2. In such time, Vikram has dared to come up with a film that has a runtime of more than three hours.

Many people asked Vikram to trim the runtime, but we hear he wasn't interested in doing so. He is pretty confident about the film's success in spite of its lengthy runtime.
