Former Indian captain and popular cricketer MS Dhoni is set to enter the South Indian cinema
HYDERABAD: Former Indian captain and popular cricketer MS Dhoni is set to enter the South Indian cinema. According to the latest reports, his production house, Dhoni Entertainment, is venturing into the South Indian film industry and will soon produce films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
Dhoni Entertainment was launched in 2019. It produced the documentary 'Roar of the Lion' which showcased the comeback of Chennai Super Kings after a two-year ban. Its upcoming projects include Blaze to Glory (a documentary focusing on the famous 2011 World Cup win of India) and The Hidden Hindu (a mythological thriller authored by Akshat Gupta).
Dhoni enjoys a massive fan following across the country. He especially enjoys superstardom in Tamil Nadu. The Tamilians treat him as their own child. Dhoni also shows a lot of love towards Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Maybe, that affection led him to venture into film production in South India.
More details about Dhoni Entertainment's South Indian projects will be announced soon. On the cricket front, Dhoni will be next playing in the IPL 2023. It is being speculated that it will be his final IPL appearance.
