HYDERABAD: Ever since Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan announced the birth of their twins, controversy sparked in Tamil Nadu. The couple got married in June this year and became parents in October through surrogacy. According to the law in Tamil Nadu, a couple married for more than six years can only opt for the surrogacy method.
As soon as the controversy sparked, the state government formed a committee to investigate the issue. According to the latest reports, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan have submitted an affidavit stating that they got married six years ago.
Apparently, they submitted a marriage certificate as well, to the Tamil Nadu health department. They have also stated that the surrogate is Nayanthara's relative from the UAE. With this, they have put an end to the controversy.
Vignesh and Nayan announced the birth of their twins last week by sharing a picture. Along with the photo, Vignesh wrote, "Nayan & Me have become Amma & Appa. We are blessed with Twin Baby Boys. All Our prayers, our ancestors' blessings combined with all the good manifestations made, have come together in the form of 2 blessed babies for us. Need all your blessings for our Uyir & Ulagam. Life looks brighter & more beautiful. God is double great."
