In response to the controversy surrounding her film 'Annapoorani,' actor Nayanthara has issued a heartfelt apology, emphasizing that the movie was never intended to hurt anyone's sentiments. The apology, shared on Instagram, featured the words 'Jai Shri Ram' and the Hindu religious symbol 'Om' on the masthead.

Expressing regret for any unintentional hurt caused, Nayanthara stated, "In our sincere attempt to share a positive message, we may have inadvertently caused hurt."

She further clarified that her team did not anticipate the removal of a censored film from the OTT platform and expressed an understanding of the gravity of the issue.
