HYDERABAD: Megastar Chiranjeevi and Superstar Rajinikanth are big stars in South India. Whenever their films are slated for release, there will be massive hungama among fans. But that is not true with their upcoming movies Bholaa Shankar and Jailer.

Chiru's Bholaa Shankar is releasing on August 11, and Rajini's Jailer is hitting the screens on August 10. There is a low buzz around these movies. Bholaa Shankar is directed by Meher Ramesh, who has a poor track record. His last film was released in 2013.

On top of it, the film is a remake of the Tamil flick Vedhalam. There is no originality to it. The makers released a song recently, failing to create buzz as well. The teaser that was released too opened to mixed responses.

On the other hand, we have Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Since the beginning, the makers aren't promoting the film aggressively. So, many people aren't aware of its release too. Moreover, Rajini lost his Telugu market in the last few years. Jailer needs to get a positive talk to earn a big amount in Telugu. We have to see if the makers promote the film aggressively at least from now on.

Additionally, Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal pose a serious threat to Bholaa Shankar and Jailer, especially in Telugu. Sandeep is a local guy and has a massive following here. So, his film Animal may get good openings in the Telugu states. We have to see how Chiru and Rajini face these challenges.
