Puri Jagannath & Ram Pothineni reunites for 'Double iSmart'

HYDERABAD: Director Puri Jagannath's recent movie, Liger, failed to meet the high expectations set by audiences, resulting in a disappointing box office performance. This outcome has become a nightmare for the director, as distributors urged him to compensate for the losses incurred. Initially hesitant to come to their rescue, Puri eventually reached a mutual understanding with the distributors and agreed to compensate them.

As part of his commitment, he has embarked on a new project titled Double iSmart, which will serve as a means to make amends.

Double iSmart, a highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster iSmart Shankar, marks the reunion of Ram and Puri. The film was officially announced and launched grandly, indicating a fresh start to recover from the setback of Liger.

The regular shoot for Double iSmart is set to commence in the next few days. Puri Jagannadh has crafted an appealing script that caters to the mass audience, aiming to meet the lofty expectations associated with the sequel.
