'Pushpa' fame Jagadeesh Bandari arrested; Here's why!
Jagadeesh was arrested in connection with the death of his alleged girlfriend on November 29
HYDERABAD: Theatre artist Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, known for his role in the blockbuster "Pushpa," was taken into custody by police officials on Wednesday. Jagadeesh was arrested in connection with the death of his alleged girlfriend on November 29.
Panjagutta inspector B. Durga Rao revealed that the 30-year-old actor was in a live-in relationship with a junior artiste, who tragically died by suicide at her residence. The deceased woman's father complained, accusing Jagadeesh of blackmail and harassment, claiming that his daughter took her life due to the distress caused by the actor.
Investigations unveiled that Jagadeesh clandestinely recorded the deceased woman with another man on November 27 and subsequently blackmailed her, threatening to release compromising images online.
Substantial evidence against Jagadeesh was discovered during the investigation, particularly on the woman's phone. Based on these findings, the Panjagutta police charged him under Section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the IPC.
The woman, overwhelmed by the situation, took her own life by hanging. Jagadeesh had been evading authorities since the incident, but he was apprehended on Wednesday and placed in custody.
On the professional front, Jagadeesh was last seen in Mythri Movie Makers' "Satthi Gaani Rendu Yekaralu" and is slated to appear in Nithiin and Sreeleela's "Extra Ordinary Man" and the upcoming rural drama "Ambajipeta Marriage Band."
