Rakul Preet Opts for 'Eco-Friendly Wedding'

Rakul Preet Singh is all set to tie the knot with producer Jackky Bhagnani in Goa. The wedding will take place on the 21st of this month, and the couple has opted for an eco-friendly wedding. Although it is a destination wedding for Rakul, she wanted it to be environment-friendly.

The couple decided against traditional paper invitations and fireworks during the ceremony. On top of that, they are also planning to calculate the event's carbon footprint and offset it by planting trees the following day. They are hiring carbon footprint specialists to evaluate the number of trees that are required to be planted.

Soon after the wedding festivities, the couple will start planting the trees. The wedding is going to be an intimate ceremony that will only be attended by their family members and close friends.

The sources say that Rakul initially planned the Middle East as the wedding destination but after PM Modi urged the rich and influential families to choose India as the venue for their big life events, Rakul and Jackky reconsidered their decision and chose Goa as the destination.
