Release Date Finalized for Muthiah Muralidharan's biopic, "800"

The highly anticipated biopic "800," which tells the remarkable story of cricket legend Muthiah Muralidaran, is set to hit theaters on October 6, 2023. Directed by MS Sripathy, the film promises to provide an in-depth look at both the well-known and lesser-known aspects of Muralidaran's incredible journey as a cricketer.

Muralidaran himself endorsed the film's script after it was meticulously developed over a two-year period to ensure authenticity. While he gave his approval, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the start of filming.

In "800," Muthiah Muralidaran is portrayed by Madhur Mittal, known for his role in the award-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire." Mahima Nambiar takes on the role of Madhimalar Ramamurthy, the cricketer's wife.

The film's trailer was recently released, and it garnered significant attention. Sachin Tendulkar, another cricketing legend, graced the occasion as the chief guest, adding to the excitement and anticipation surrounding the biopic "800."
