Release date of Dhanush's maiden Telugu film gets announced

Star hero Dhanush is making his Telugu debut with the film Sir. It is also being shot in Tamil simultaneously with the title Vaathi. Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema and Mr Majnu fame is directing the project. Meanwhile, the makers have officially announced that Sir will hit the screens on December 2, 2022.

Sir features Dhanush in the role of a college lecturer. It is heard that the film is going to be a social drama which exposes the loopholes in the current education system in Indian society. Samyuktha Menon is playing the female lead in this flick.

As of now, Sir is the only Telugu film that booked its slot on December 2. It has to be seen if any other movie plans to clash with it at the box office. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Sowjanya are jointly bankrolling this project under their respective banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music for this film. The promotions are expected to kickstart soon.

Currently, Dhanush is awaiting the release of his next film Naane Varuven (Nene Vasthunna in Telugu), which will hit the screens on September 30.
