HYDERABAD: Rumors of a blossoming romance between Tollywood stars Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi have been circulating for some time now, fueling speculations about their alleged plans to tie the knot. It is being reported that Lavanya, who has been selective with her film offers lately, is taking a break from acting to focus on her wedding preparations and settling down.
According to close sources, the couple has received approval from their family members and an engagement ceremony is rumored to be scheduled for June 9th. The date was allegedly chosen to accommodate the availability of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan.
There are even whispers that Pawan Kalyan might grace the event, further adding to the excitement. It is expected that the couple will announce their wedding date during the engagement ceremony.
Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi first crossed paths on the set of Sreenu Vaitla's film "Mister" in 2017. While the movie may not have made a lasting impact, their chemistry off-screen flourished, leading to a deepening bond between the two. Later, the duo acted in Antariksham.
Lavanya, who hails from Uttar Pradesh and was raised in Dehradun, made her Telugu film debut with "Andala Rakshasi."
