HYDERABAD: Generally, we see politicians stooping to low levels by passing cheap comments against each other. Sometimes, even film celebrities do the same as well. Now, the issue revolving around Tammareddy Bharadwaj's comments against RRR is resulting in these cheap fights.

At a recent event, Tammareddy passed controversial comments about RRR. He said that the makers are spending around 80 crores for the Oscars campaign. "If you give us that money, we will make eight films and throw them at you," he said.

He received sharp criticism for his comments. Veteran filmmaker K. Raghavendra Rao said, "Instead of feeling proud of our Telugu film's achievements, why are you (Tammareddy) passing on such comments? Can you show the accounts for 80 crores that you claimed? Do you think people like James Cameron and Steven Spielberg are praising RRR by taking money?"

Actor Naga Babu took it to the next level by using foul words. Recently, he shared a video with the caption, "An Honest attempt to Enlighten A Wicked Soul!". In the video, he says, "Nee amma mogudu karchupettadara RRR ki Oscar kosam? (Did your dad pay 80 crores to buy an Oscar for RRR?)"

Criticising each other is fine but stooping to low levels by passing such cheap comments is not good. It doesn't only tarnish their image but also the reputation of the entire film industry.

Meanwhile, Tammareddy released another video reacting to Raghavendra Rao and Naga Babu's comments. He said that he delivered those statements during an interaction with an arthouse filmmaker. "The discussion was about small-budget films and their scale. Instead of listening to the entire context, it is not right to comment on that particular statement. I am proud of Rajamouli garu and RRR. I said the same in a video that was released a few days ago. But I guess no one has watched it," said Tammareddy.

One side, RRR is going global and is competing at the Oscars. On the other side, we have our own men fighting with each other by passing vulgar comments. It is time for everyone to keep aside their personal issues and collectively celebrate the success of RRR.
