HYDERABAD: Samantha shared her journey with the autoimmune disease myositis in 2022, shedding light on her health struggles and the challenges she faced while promoting her female-centric film Yashoda. Speaking at the India Today Conclave 2024, Samantha revealed the difficulties she encountered during that time.

Despite facing criticism and misinformation, she has learned to prioritize her well-being and not let external opinions affect her self-worth. She revealed how she was affected by people calling her sympathy star but she was just doing her job to promote the film.

Currently taking a break from work, Samantha's next project is the Indian edition of the global series Citadel, where she stars alongside Varun Dhawan in the lead role.
