Samantha gets emotional at Shakuntalam event

HYDERABAD: Shakuntalam is one of the upcoming Telugu films which is creating a special interest in Telugu right now. However, the film's trailer is not up to the mark. But, the team went emotional at the trailer launch event.

Speaking about the support he got from the producer 'Dil Raju during the making of the film, director Gunasekhar, along with the lead Samantha, becomes emotional on the stage at the trailer launch of their project 'Shaakuntalam' today.

"'Dil' Raju is the main hero of this project. I'm not breaking down, but this is an emotional moment for me. There are many filmmakers like me here but we need great producers like M.S. Reddy, and M.S. Raju gaaru as such to make what we envision and believe in. With 6 months in production and one and a half years in post-production, when have properly made this film and all of it is because of Raju sir. He stood by me and my team and said "I know how you'll make the film with a strong producer behind you. Think that a maker is behind you and go ahead with the film" those words by Raju made me emotional and I made what I want and I'm very confident" said Gunasekhar.

Samantha also thanked 'Dil' Raju and said "I just gathered strength and came only to see your love and response and it is more than what I expected. Thanks to the hardworking director Gunasekhar gaaru & producer for trusting us"

Samantha reminded of the times of Yashoda where she could not participate in the film's promotions properly but despite that, she received a lot of love and support from the audiences. She thanked the audiences for giving her success and hoped that with the film Shakuntalam, she will impress more people.

Earlier, during the pre-release event of Rudhramadevi, Gunasekhar went emotional on the stage, sharing the financial crisis he faced during the making of the film. Now, after many years, he returned with this film and it seems like he is still in that phase of needing a hit.

Both Samantha and Gunasekhar are in dire need of success and this event could bring attention to the film but we have to see how things will get unfolded.
