Sexiest, disrespectful, misogynistic: Trisha on Mansoor Ali Khan's 'rape comments'
Mansoor Ali Khan's explicit remarks have quickly circulated on social media platforms, causing a public outcry
HYDERABAD: Actress Trisha's recent remarks have sparked a social media sensation, drawing the ire of director Lokesh Kanagaraj and other Kollywood stars, particularly Leo actor Mansoor Ali Khan. Here's a breakdown of the incident.
The movie "Leo," featuring Vijay and Trisha, has garnered tremendous success since its recent theatrical release, raking in over Rs. 550 crores at the box office.
However, Mansoor Ali Khan, who played a significant role in the film, has stirred controversy with his recent comments about Trisha. His explicit remarks have quickly circulated on social media platforms, causing a public outcry.
In his statement, Mansoor Ali Khan remarked, "It is known that Trisha is acting in the film Leo. I also acted in this movie. But I thought the movie would have at least one bedroom scene. I thought I would take her to the bedroom like I did with other actresses. I have done many rape scenes in movies before; this is not new to me in movies. But at least Trisha was not shown to me on the sets when the shooting was going on in Kashmir."
These comments have not only sparked anger among many stars in the industry but have also drawn criticism from many.
Reacting to the incident, Trisha wrote, “A recent video has come to my notice where Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner. I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind.”
