Shankar to compete with Shankar during Pongal 2024?

HYDERABAD: Visionary filmmaker Shankar is known for his lavish high-budget films. Generally, he takes years to come up with his every film. For the first time in his career, he is facing a weird situation where both his movies might clash at the box office at the same time.

Shankar is currently shooting two films. One is Indian 2, which features Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The other one is RC 15, which features Ram Charan as the lead hero. The shoot of both films is underway. If the latest buzz is anything to go by, both Indian 2 and RC 15 may hit the screens during Sankranthi 2024.

RC15's producer Dil Raju is planning to release the movie during the Pongal festive season for a long time. Even the shooting is progressing with that target. Reportedly, one of Indian 2's producers, Udayanidhi Stalin, is also planning to release his movie during the Sankranthi holiday season.

As of now, nothing is confirmed but if both these films hit the theatres at the same time, it will be a unique record for a director. We may get clarity about the release dates of these movies in a few weeks.
