Superstar Rajinikanth to play a negative-shaded role in Lokesh's next?

Rumors have surfaced about Superstar Rajinikanth's next film, tentatively titled "Thalaivar 171," directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It is speculated that the film will feature Rajinikanth in a negatively shaded gangster role, and the shooting is rumored to begin in April 2024.

Fans have always appreciated Rajinikanth's ability to portray negative characters with charisma, with the character Chitti from the Enthiran series being the most recent example.

"Thalaivar 171" is rumored to be a unique multistarrer film, featuring actors from other industries in crucial roles. There are also speculations about Sivakarthikeyan playing an important role in the film.

The film, written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is said to be a standalone project and not part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music, and the Anbariv duo will handle the action choreography.

While casting rumors have circulated, including names like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Mammootty, Raghava Lawrence, Sivakarthikeyan, and Jeeva from "Kaaka Kaaka," none of these details have been officially confirmed.
