SV Krishna Reddy's latest directorial hardly catches attention at box-office
There are good times and bad times in everyone's life. Especially in the film industry, people who are celebrated today may get zero attention tomorrow
HYDERABAD: There are good times and bad times in everyone's life. Especially in the film industry, people who are celebrated today may get zero attention tomorrow. Popular senior director SV Krishna Reddy is in the same phase right now.
He used to be one of the most celebrated directors in the Telugu film industry during the 1990s and 2000s. He made many successful films like Rajendrudu Gajendrudu, Mayalodu, Yamaleela, Shubha Lagnam, Ghatothkachudu, Vinodam, Aahvanam, Egire Pavurama, Pellam Oorelithe, and Hungama.
After the 2014 film Yamaleela 2, Krishna Reddy took a break from the direction. After a long gap, he decided to wield the megaphone once again in 2022. That's how he started Organic Mama Hybrid Alludu. Starring Sohail, Rajendra Prasad, Mrinalini Ravi, and Meena in the lead roles, this movie hit the screens yesterday.
There was no buzz around this film. Even the makers didn't promote it at all. Sohail is a noted actor who shot to fame with Bigg Boss. If the makers promoted it well, people would have known about the collaboration between Krishna Reddy and Sohail.
But for some unknown reasons, the film wasn't promoted at all. Thus, a film by such a popular director had to release in empty theatres. The openings are poor and no one is hardly showing interest to watch the film during the weekend.
