Talk of the Town: NTR to grace the pre-release function of Simhadri ahead of its re-release

HYDERABAD: Releasing old blockbuster movies once again has become a popular trend lately, with fans flocking to theatres and producers earning significant amounts of money in return. Most of the profits generated from these re-releases are being donated to various charitable causes.

The latest movie in Tollywood to receive a re-release is the 2003 action-drama Simhadri starring Jr NTR and directed by SS Rajamouli. Bhumika and Ankita played the female leads in the movie, which was a major success at the box office when it was first released.

In honor of Jr NTR's birthday, Simhadri is set to be re-released on May 20, and his fans are planning grand celebrations for the occasion, including a pre-release event scheduled for May 17 at the JRC Convention. This will be the first pre-release event for an old film's re-release, and fans are expected to turn up in large numbers to attend the ceremony.
