HYDERABAD: A couple of days ago, the makers of Thalapathy Vijay's Leo shared a new film poster to announce the first song's release date. The poster featured Vijay striking a pose by holding a gun in his hand a smoking a cigarette. It was announced that the first single 'Naa Ready' will be unveiled on June 22nd, on Vijay's birthday.

Vijay fans are highly excited about the song's release and are making huge plans for their matinee idol's birthday. On the other side, the poster stirred a political controversy. Noted politician and Rajya Sabha MP Anbumani Ramadoss condemned Vijay for cigarette smoking. He asked Vijay to stop smoking in his films as it would affect children and his fans who try to follow him.

He said that Vijay promised that he won't film smoking scenes way back in 2007 and 2012. Ramadoss argued that Vijay failed to keep his promise. He asked Thalapathy to be a responsible actor.

This is not the first time Ramadoss condemned Vijay for smoking. He did the same for the actor's earlier films Sarkar, Thuppakki and Mersal. Ramadoss often criticizes actors who picturize smoking scenes in their films.
