HYDERABAD: Ever since the release dates were locked for Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya, the netizens began a debate on the Sankranthi musical war. With top music composers Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad competing with each other with two blockbuster audio albums, the fans were curious about the background scores of the films. It looks like Thaman had a little edge over Devi Sri Prasad this time.

Amid much expectations, Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy hit the screens the other day. As it is Balayya's immediate film after Akhanda, there were many expectations around it. Gopichand Malineni has directed the project. Thaman composed the music for it.

This is Thaman's second film with Balayya, after Akhanda. Initially, he faced criticism for his compositions in Veera Simha Reddy. Netizens trolled Thaman for allegedly copying the tune of Osey Ramulamma for the song Jai Balayya.

People who watched the film in theatres are now appreciating Thaman's work and are calling his work one of the major highlights of the movie. Once again, Thaman did a spending job with the background score. Jai Balayya song was trolled on social media, but it is now getting a thumping response from the audience.

People mocked Thaman and said his career is over. Now, he has delivered commendable work for both Varisu and Veera Simha Reddy. Yesterday, Varisu was released and Thaman was praised for his work in it. Now, the same thing is repeated with Veera Simha Reddy. Thus, Thaman shut the mouths of all his critics and emerged as the winner once again.

On the other hand, Devi did a splendid job with Waltair Veerayya but his background score is not meeting the desired reception from the audiences.
