'The Hollywood Reporter' praises Rama Rajamouli for RRR
It has been nine months since it hit the screens but still, RRR is making noise across the world
HYDERABAD: It has been nine months since it hit the screens but still, RRR is making noise across the world. More than India, the film is creating a buzz in Hollywood circles. It is already known that RRR is one of the favourites for the upcoming Academy Awards.
This action epic was directed by SS Rajamouli. His wife Rama Rajamouli worked as the costume stylist. Since the beginning, Rama looks after the costumes of every Rajamouli movie. But she doesn't get enough credit for her work.
Finally, Rama Rajamouli got her due credit as the popular Hollywood media house The Hollywood Reporter published an article praising Rama's work in RRR. The article gives us an insight into Rama and her team's hard work in coming up with the costumes for this period epic.
Apparently, for the song Naatu Naatu, Rama and her team designed the suits of Jr NTR and Ram Charan in breathable and non-wrinkle French terry cotton. It also required 100s of ball gowns and suits, representing the British era, for all actors who were present in the song. People don't know about all these facts and they are now amazed by Rama's work. After reading the article, one would do nothing but appreciate Rama for her incredible contribution to RRR.
