Theatrical and OTT releases of this week

This week is going to be a gala time for movie lovers. During this festive time, there are some big releases in both theatres and on OTT platforms. Here is a look at them.

Theatrical Releases:

1. Godfather

Megastar Chiranjeevi's latest flick Godfather was released today. Touted to be a political drama, this film is directed by Mohan Raja. Nayanthara, Salman Khan and Satya Dev played the other key roles in it.

2. The Ghost

King Nagarjuna is clashing with Chiranjeevi in theatres with his new film The Ghost. Directed by Praveen Sattaru, this action thriller features Sonal Chauhan as the female lead.

3. Swathi Muthyam

Bellamkonda Ganesh's debut flick Swathi Muthyam also released today. Varsha Bollamma played the female lead in it.

OTT Releases:

1. Karthikeya 2

Recent blockbuster Karthikeya 2 is all set to hit the OTT screens today. It will be premiered on Zee5. Nikhil and Anupama Parameswaran played the lead roles in it.

2. Bimbisara

Kalyan Ram's latest blockbuster Bimbisara is expected to premiere on Zee5 on October 7. An official announcement is yet to be made though.

Apart from these, other films/shows like Raksha Bandhan (Zee5, October 5), Prey (Disney+ Hotstar, October 7), Darja (Aha, October 5) and Uniki (Aha, October 5) are also landing in the OTT space.
