HYDERABAD: Tollywood producers council decided on Tuesday to resume the film shootings from September 1. The Tollywood film shootings have come to a halt as the producers collectively decided to stop shootings until they resolve several issues about the remunerations of actors, the OTT release window, and other theatrical concerns. However, it is a big relief for all those who are waiting for the film shootings to resume.
According to the announcement made by the council, the producers can shoot the movies in and around the Telugu states from the September 1. Filmmakers planning to shoot their movies in foreign locations can start the same from the August 25.
If at all anyone wants to shoot before the finalized dates, they can hold the discussions with the council, seek permission and proceed accordingly.
With this new announcement coming into implementation soon, several biggies like SSMB28, Pushpa: The Rule, Project K, Salaar, RC15, and other movies will hit the floors.
In a statement on July 26, the Telugu Producers Guild announced that the shooting of Telugu films will be halted from August 1 till further notice to find a workable solution for changing revenue situation and increasing costs of film production. Ever since, the shootings have come to a halt.
