On September 30, two big Tamil films clash at the box office. They are Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuven and Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan -1 (PS-I). Naane Varuven is getting dubbed into Telugu as Nene Vasthunna. Meanwhile, PS-I is having a pan-India release with the same title.

Popular producer Dil Raju acquired the Telugu rights of Ponniyin Selvan and is releasing it on a grand scale. As he is distributing the film, it will definitely get a massive number of screens in Telugu states. All it needs to get is a positive talk. Ponniyin Selvan features Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai and Trisha in the lead roles.

On the flip side, another top production house Geetha Arts will be releasing Nene Vasthunna in Telugu. As star producer Allu Aravind is backing the project, there is no doubt this film will also get a good number of screens in Telugu states.

As these films are being back by top producers of Tollywood, they may cover most of the theatres in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. But Megastar Chiranjeevi's Godfather and King Nagarjuna's The Ghost are hitting the screens on October 5. They will cover most of the screens when they get released. So, people are wondering how Raju and Aravind manage the screens of PS-1 and Nene Vasthunna when they get released.
