Varun Tej dispels comparisons between Fighter and Operation Valentine
Varun Tej emphasizes that while both Fighter and Operation Valentine share a common theme, their narratives diverge significantly.
HYDERABAD: Hrithik Roshan recently headlined a film titled Fighter, depicting the events surrounding the Balakot attacks, where he portrayed an Indian airman. Now, Telugu actor Varun Tej is stepping into a similar role in a film called Operation Valentine, but he's quick to dispel any comparisons to Hrithik Roshan.
Ever since the film was launched and even after the release of theatrical trailer, there were a lot of comparisons between the two films and actors.
Varun Tej emphasizes that while both Fighter and Operation Valentine share a common theme, their narratives diverge significantly. He confirmed that OV focuses on the bravery and heroism of Indian soldiers and clarified that his film has its own distinct storyline, separate from Hrithik Roshan's portrayal in Fighter.
Director Shakti Pratap Singh responded that he has not watched Fighter but assured that both the films are different. "Operation Valentine is not just about action. It explores the camaraderie and relationship among Air Force pilots.” he revealed.
The film marks the Telugu screen debut of Manushi Chillar. The film is hitting the screens on March 1st.
