Vijay Deverakonda talks about the famous '200 Cr Speech'

HYDERABAD: Vijay Deverakonda has been actively promoting his upcoming movie "Family Star," along with his co-star Mrunal Thakur and producer Dil Raju. With the film set to release this Friday, the team organised a pre-release event where Vijay Deverakonda addressed the audience.

During his speech, Vijay Deverakonda opened up about his infamous comment regarding the' 200 crore gross' during the promotions of his previous film, "Liger." He acknowledged that while he had expressed his expectation for the film to achieve the 200 crore mark, it ultimately ended up being one of the biggest disasters in his career.

Vijay also admitted that while it wasn't wrong to aim for such a milestone, the mistake lay in failing to achieve it. Reflecting on his past successes, Vijay mentioned that his dream of collecting 100 crores was realised with his fourth movie. He expressed his determination to achieve the 200 crore milestone someday and stated that he was willing to face criticism until then.

Interestingly, Vijay Deverakonda refrained from making similar predictions for the success oFamily Star. We have to see if the film becomes a big hit in Vijay's career again.
