Vishwaksen changes his stance on release of 'Gangs of Godavari'
Movies like Nani's "Hi Nanna," Nithiin's "Extraordinary Man," and Ranbir Kapoor's "Animal" are all scheduled for release in the first week of December.
HYDERABAD: Vishwak Sen, known for his candid and outspoken nature, recently expressed frustration over the potential delay in the release of his film "Gangs Of Godavari."
He even pledged not to promote the movie if it wasn't released in December. Now, he changed his stance completely.
However, the film's producer, Naga Vamsi, indicated that the movie wasn't completed yet. Today, Vishwak Sen announced a new release date for "Gangs Of Godavari," stating that the movie is set to release on March 8th, 2024.
The decision to postpone the release could be attributed to the crowded December box office.
Movies like Nani's "Hi Nanna," Nithiin's "Extraordinary Man," and Ranbir Kapoor's "Animal" are all scheduled for release in the first week of December.
By choosing a March release, the "Gangs Of Godavari" team aims for a less competitive period at the box office. The film is described as a rustic action drama, portraying the journey of a man from rags to riches with absolute grit and determination.
Vishwaksen did not divulge into the earlier discussion about his statement of not promoting the film but he is hopeful of scoring a big hit this time, in March.
