HYDERABAD: It has been a long time since we saw Megastar Chiranjeevi in an out-and-out mass masala role. After his comeback, he has been acting in semi-commercial films like Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Acharya and Godfather. No film explored his comic and action antics to the fullest.
It looks like director Bobby Kolli got that right with the film Waltair Veerayya. The theatrical trailer of this movie is out now. Going by it, the film looks like a pakka commercial potboiler from Chiranjeevi. It reminds us of his movies from the 90s and early 2000s.
The major highlight of the trailer is the comedy timing of Chiru. It is good to see him back in his strong zone. His comic timing is the main reason behind the trailer's response. Especially, the last dialogue with Ravi Teja will get a thumping response in theatres for sure.
On the whole, Waltair Veerayya's trailer is power-packed and it looks like the boss is back in his zone. The film features Shruti Haasan, Bobby Simha and Prakash Raj in the other key roles. It is slated for a worldwide release on January 13.
