19-month-old girl crushed to death by school bus in Habsiguda, Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, a 19-month-old baby girl lost her life after being struck by a private school bus in the Habsiguda area of Hyderabad on Thursday.

The incident reportedly occurred when the child, identified as Jewalanna Midhun, accompanied her father and grandmother to the bus pick-up point to drop her elder brother at school.

The child suffered severe injuries on her head and other parts of the body and died on the spot. According to reports, the driver apparently was driving in a rash and negligent manner, due to which he failed to notice the child.

Osmania University police registered a case against driver for negligence causing death. Further investigation is underway.
