Another street dog attack in Hyderabad: 5 persons bitten in Rajendra Nagar

HYDERABAD: At least persons including young boys were severely bitten by stray dogs on Wednesday in Hyderguda of Rajendra Nagar, three days after a four-year-old boy was mauled to death in Hyderabad's Amberpet area.

According to reports, a rabid dog bit a young boy when he was playing outside his house. The animal dragged the boy by his hand to a certain distance before incessantly biting him on his head. The street dog also reportedly attacked another boy who tried to shoo it away. A few others were also reported to have come under attack from the rampaging dogs.

According to the locals, the incident is the latest in a series of attacks by stray dogs, mostly targeting young children, in the locality. Horrified residents approached the municipal officials, demanding that the stray dogs be relocated.
