Asaduddin Owaisi inaugurates historical Gulzar Houz fountain
The newly refurbished fountain would become a new tourist attraction in the Charminar area
HYDERABAD: AIMIM president Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi and Special Chief Secretary MA&UD Arvind Kumar inaugurated a renovated Historical Fountain (Gulzar Houz) and laid the foundation stone for three new projects.
They also laid foundation stone for construction of Multi Level Parking area at Old Bus stand Charminar worth Rs. 34.60, facade development works at Laad Bazar Rs. 36 cr and construction of two iconic pedestrian bridges during the occasion.
Two iconic pedestrian bridges were being constructed on Musi River in Nayapul, each costing Rs. 40 crores, with an estimated total cost of Rs. 80 crores.
The 400-year-old fountain, which was in dilapidated state, was renovated at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh by Quli Qutb Shah Urban Development Authority (QQSUDA) and Deccan Terrain Heritage. The newly refurbished fountain would become a new tourist attraction in the Charminar area.
