Autorickshaw driver attempts murder on minor boy in Jagadgirigutta

HYDERABAD: An autorickshaw driver attempted to murder a nine-year-old boy who was playing in front of the house by slitting his throat at Jagadgirigutta in Hyderabad on Monday.

The accused approached the boy named Aditya who was playing in front of his house at the Rajiv Gruhakalpa building. He spoke to him for a while and later took him to another street and slit the boy's throat with a blade. The accused then fled from the scene after locals noticed him and started screaming. The boy was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving information, the Jagadgirigutta police reached the spot and registered a case, and are investigating by retrieving the CCTV footage. They said that the accused was absconding and the condition of the boy was critical. Full details of this incident are yet to be known.
