BJP, BRS plotted to deny venues for CWC meeting: Revanth Reddy

HYDERABAD: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) plotted to deny the Congress party the parade field for the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on September 16, 2023, said TPCC president Revanth Reddy on Saturday.

Revanth Reddy said that the CWC meeting would be conducted on September 16, 2023, at the Taj Krishna hotel, and that securing a place for the conference had become really challenging because both parties conspired to ensure that the party did not get venues for the CWC meeting.

Revanth Reddy said that they initially approached defence officials for permission to hold the CWC meeting at the parade grounds, but they were denied since Telangana BJP president Kishan Reddy is organising a BJP programme there to defend the BJP's reputation.

He further said the Sports Authority had refused us permission to hold the meeting at Gachibowli Stadium. He claimed that Minister KTR intimidated hotel management into preventing the Congress party to hold CWC meetings, which he described as petty politics, and that the entire state of Telangana was watching their tactics.

Revanth Reddy said, "We wanted to organise it in an empty space in Tukkuguda without traffic problems but they denied permission because there were endowment lands. If the Congress meeting is held, the downfall of BRS is certain and they prevented God from obtaining the permission. Tukkuguda farmers, on the other hand, stepped up and donated land to Congress.

"Our leaders are preparing for the meeting on a war footing. If Sonia Gandhi, the person who granted Telangana, pays a visit to the state, the Government should co-operate and show some wisdom. Unfortunately, KCR lacks knowledge and has absolutely no idea how to protect democratic values. No matter how hard Kishan Reddy and KCR try, the Congress party will successfully conduct the CWC meeting," said Revanth Reddy.

Sonia Gandhi, according to Revanth Reddy, would launch five schemes in Vijayabheri Sabha on September 17, 2023. The Vijayabheri Sabha is expected to draw lakhs of youths, farmers, and the unemployed youth in Telangana.
