BJP demands judicial inquiry, action against cops for dragging ABVP state secretary Jhansi by hair

KARIMNAGAR: Karimnagar MP and BJP general secretary Bandi Sanjay demanded a judicial inquiry and action on the cops who dragged ABVP state secretary Jhansi by her hair at the Agricultural University in Rajendranagar here on Wednesday.

“The civic society is shocked by the barbaric act of the police. Jhansi is a sincere ABVP activist who is fighting for the rights of the people,” the Karimnagar MP said. Bandi Sanjay said that Jhansi was attacked by the two cops while was peacefully protesting against the transfer of the land rich in biodiversity from the campus for the construction of the High Court.
He said that the Congress Government slapped false non-bailable cases on the ABVP leaders and arrested them. “We thought that the Congress has changed down the years. The BJP demands a comprehensive investigation into the incident and swift action against the perpetrators,” he said.
