Chilkur temple priest launches notebook donation drive, encourages youth to donate books

HYDERABAD: The Chief priest of Chilkur Balaji Temple C S Rangarajan launched a notebook donation drive and distributed notebooks to students of Chilkur Mandal Parishad Primary School on Wednesday.

The notebook donation drive was to sensitise the younger generation and make them aware of the value of things and promote quality education and a favourable environment.

Rangarajan while speaking to media said, “It will inspire people of higher strata of the society and the affluent to participate actively in such donation drives for poor school children,” he said.

Further, these types of programs would inculcate the habit of giving among a huge population, Rangarajan noted. “We request urban school children to come forward to help the other underprivileged counterparts and it can lead to some truly amazing experiences. The notebook donation drive is a small step to develop social responsibility in society and drive it towards sustainable learning,” Rangarajan said.

The books were distributed to the primary school students in the presence of Balaji Temple volunteers led by Pavan Kumar and staff of Chilkur Balaji Temple, principal Bhimaiah, other teachers Srinivas Reddy, Rajasekhar, Rama Devi and Raju.
