HYDERABAD: Civil liberties and people’s organisations condemned the raids conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, on suspicion that they had links with the Maoists.
Prof Gaddam Laxman, president, and N Narayana Rao , Secretary Civil Liberties Committee (CLC) Telangana, in a statement released this morning acknowledging raids by the NIA on several civil liberty activists, demanded the agency to stop acts of intimidation immediately.
