CM KCR pays tributes to Prof Jayashankar on his birth anniversary
KCR on Sunday paid rich tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar on the Assembly premises marking his birth anniversary
HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Sunday paid rich tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar on the Assembly premises marking his birth anniversary.
Along with KCR, Chairman of the Legislative Council Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, deputy speaker Padma Rao Gowd, Ministers, MLAs and MLCs also paid floral tributes to the portrait of Prof Jayashankar in the Assembly Hall and recalled his services.
At Telangana Legislative Council, Gutha Sukhender Reddy, deputy chairperson Bandi Prakash, Ministers T Harish Rao, Yerrabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod, Koppula Eswar, Md. Mahmood Ali, chief whip Bhanu Prasad Rao and other leaders paid tributes to the portrait of Prof Jayashankar and hailed him as a tireless champion who fought for the formation of Telangana State till his last breath.
At the BRS party office in Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, BRS Working President and Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) along with party leaders paid rich tributes to Prof K Jayashankar and garlanded his statue. KTR said that Prof Jayashankar was a role model for BRS members and scores of others in Telangana. KCR was fulfilling the aspirations of Prof Jayashankar and ensured that due respect was given to him by naming the Bhupalpally district and also the Agriculture University after him, he said.
Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundarrajan paid floral tributes to Prof Jayashankar on his birth anniversary at Raj Bhavan.
Meanwhile, DGP Anjani Kumar and Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Stephen Ravindra also paid rich tributes to Prof Jayashankar at their offices and said that people of Telangana have a special place in their hearts for the late professor.
