Cyberabad Police arrest four for peddling 210 kg of ganja
The ganja was packed in 105 packets, each containing 2 kg
HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad Police made a huge drug bust on Sunday and seized 210 kg of ganja. Four people, who were involved in transporting this contraband from Berhampur in Odisha to Maharashtra via Hyderabad, have been arrested. The accused have been identified as Seetha Ram, Mathru Nayak, Jarupla Thirupathi, and Shiva. Seetha Ram is the supplier of the ganja, while Mathru Nayak is the seller. Thirupathi is the transporter, and Shiva is the receiver.
On Sunday, Tirupathi was travelling in a KIA car and was intercepted by a team of police officers from the Special Operations Team (SOT) at Medchal Check Post. The ganja was packed in 105 packets, each containing 2 kg. The total value of the seized ganja is estimated to be around Rs 60 lakh. The accused have been booked under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and are being interrogated by the police.
