Cyberabad police arrest Maharashtra dacoits gang in Jeedimetla, seize weapons

Cyberabad police have arrested a gang of five dacoits – all in their 20s -- from a dilapidated house near Adarsh Bank lane in Shapur Nagar around 11.30 pm on Tuesday.

HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police have arrested a gang of five dacoits – all in their 20s -- from a dilapidated house near Adarsh Bank lane in Shapur Nagar around 11.30 pm on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Commissioner of Cyberabad Police Stephen Raveendra said that the police raided the premises on a tip-off and arrested the gang. Inspector of police of Jeedimetla police station, along with his staff, and patrol mobile policemen rushed to the scene and rounded up the dilapidated house upon receipt of the information.

The police found five members gang holed up inside the house with loaded country-made pistols, Jambiya (a sharp dagger), sharp scissors and other instruments for committing property offences.

On seeing the police party, the gang tried to flee through the windows of the house. The police party, however, covered all the exits and nabbed the five members.

The Commissioner said that the gang disclosed that they belonged to Pune in Maharashtra state and admitted that they carried firearms and other deadly weapons with an intent of committing robbery and other property offences in Jeedimetla area. They had conducted Recce in the market area where jewellery shops were also located.

The CP disclosed that the gang confessed to have committed several property offences and bodily offences at Pune. The gang also served a punishment of imprisonment in Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) case.



They also had the cash from the offences they had committed in Pune. They had earlier gone to Gummadidala and stolen a car and used it to reach Jeedimetla area

11. TATA Indica Car,

12. Cash of Rs. 70,000

As per Collected Information From Pune Police

1.Jeeth Singh Rajpal Singh was involved in around 47 property and bodily offences.

2. Amar Singh Jaggar Singh Tak was involved in around 18 property and bodily offences.

3. Lucky Singh Gabbar Singh Tak was involved in around 40 property and bodily offences .

4. Nihal Singh Manav Singh was involved in around 40 cases and wanted in Lonavala PS, Badlapur PS and Hadapsar PS of Maharashtra state.

5. Nishanth was involved more than 30 property and bodily offences
