Cyberabad police restricts flying drones near Hakimpet Air Force Station in view of President’s visit
Action will be taken against the offender under Sections 188, 121, 121(a), 287, 336, 337, 338, and others of the Indian Penal Code, 1860
HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has imposed a 5 km radius restriction on flying activities near the Air Force Station in Hakimpet and surrounding areas within the Jurisdiction of Cyberabad Commissionerate limits from December 18 to 23, 2023.
An official order released by Cyberabad police commissioner Avinash Mohanty reads, "No flying activities of remotely controlled drones, para-gliders, or remotely controlled micro-light aircraft shall be permitted over the area bounded by a circle of 5 km radius at Air Force Station Hakimpet and surrounding areas within the Jurisdiction of Cyberabad Commissionerate limits. The order will be in effect from December 18, 2023, to December 23, 2023."
According to the notification, action will be taken against the offender under Sections 188, 121, 121(a), 287, 336, 337, 338, and others of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
"The possibility of attacks by terrorist or antisocial elements by the use of paragliders, remote-controlled drones, remote-controlled micro-light aircraft, etc., may endanger and breach peace with the public. It is necessary that reasonable checks are imposed on activities of such antisocial elements within the limits of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate to prevent the attack through remote-controlled drones, para-gliders, or remotely controlled micro-light aircraft," the order further reads.
