Cyberabad police urged to boost Cybersecurity in BFSI meeting
A productive interactive session with CEOs from approximately 20 major Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) organisations held in Cyberabad
HYDERABAD: In a bid to foster collaboration between law enforcement and the corporate sector, Cyberabad police commissioner Avinash Mohanty along with Ramesh Kaza, Secretary General of Society For Cyberabad Security Council(SCSC), engaged in a productive interactive session with CEOs from approximately 20 major Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) organisations in Cyberabad on Wednesday.
During the session, which aimed to gather industry feedback on the performance of SCSC and explore avenues for further cooperation, participants lauded the efforts of SCSC and Cyberabad Police in enhancing the region's IT landscape.
The meeting served as a platform for industry leaders to provide valuable insights and recommendations for improving various aspects of cybersecurity and infrastructure development, ultimately bolstering Hyderabad's appeal as a destination for IT investment and growth.
Among the suggestions put forth by industry representatives was the call for clearer guidelines on carpooling, aimed at alleviating road congestion by encouraging more individuals to embrace this eco-friendly commuting option. Recognising the potential benefits of such measures, authorities are poised to explore avenues for promoting and facilitating carpooling initiatives.

The objective of this meeting was to get the feedback from the industry on how SCSC has been performing, what are the initiatives that are to be relook/stopped or give a pause, any new initiatives can be taken up and suggestions - and how Cyberabad Police along with SCSC, can take up more initiatives to benefit the IT Industry so that more companies can set up base in Hyderabad and existing companies further grow in the city.
Furthermore, organisations emphasised the importance of bolstering information security measures by nominating their professionals to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Council or participating in Centers of Excellence (COEs). With the recent expansion of the Centre of Excellence for Cyber Safety - TSPCC (Telangana State Police Centre of Excellence for Cyber Safety) stakeholders expressed optimism about the increased capacity to accommodate a larger number of participants in these crucial initiatives.
In light of the growing threat of cybercrime, industry representatives highlighted the need for proactive measures to address this challenge effectively. Cyberabad Police was urged to intensify efforts to combat cyber threats, with organisations pledging their support in raising awareness and collaborating with law enforcement and SCSC. Authorities welcomed the offer of partnership, affirming their commitment to working closely with industry stakeholders to tackle cybercrime and ensure a secure digital environment.
