Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat inauguration: Roads to avoid in Hyderabad on April 30

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory in view of the inauguration of Dr B R Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat for April 30, 2023, effective from 4 am to 8 pm. Certain traffic detours would be put in place to avoid inconvenience to commuters.

The following traffic diversions would be in place for un-interrupted movement of vehicles.

Traffic Diversions(on need basis)

• Traffic will be prohibited between VV Statue - Necklace Rotary - NTR Marg and Telugu Thalli Junction, as well as vice versa.
• Traffic heading towards Necklace Rotary from Khairatabad/Panjagutta/Somajiguda will be diverted at VV Statue towards Shadan - Nirankari.
• Traffic travelling from Nirankari/Chintal basthi to Necklace Rotary will not be permitted to use the Khairatabad flyover.
• Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar Junction and seeking to go towards Tankbund - Ranigunj and Liberty would be directed to take the Telugu Thalli flyover towards Katta Maisamma Junction - Lower Tankbund rather than the Telugu Thalli Jn/Ambedkar Statue/Tankbund.
• Traffic coming from Tankbund and Telugu Thalli seeking to travel to NTR Marg will be diverted at Telugu Thalli Junction to Iqbal Minar Junction.
• Traffic from BRKR Bhavan to NTR Marg will be prohibited and diverted at Telugu Thalli Junction to Iqbal Minar Junction.
• Traffic heading towards Imax/Necklace Rotary from Bada Ganesh lane will be redirected at Bada Ganesh to Rajdoot lane.
• The NTR Garden, NTR Ghat, Necklace Road, and Lumbini Park will be closed on 30 April 2023, in preparation for the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Telangana state's inauguration of the Telangana New Secretariat building.

RTC Buses Diversions

• RTC buses travelling from Afzalgunj to Secunderabad should avoid the Tank Bund Road and instead take the Telugu Thalli Flyover, Katta Maisamma, Lower Tank Bund, DBR Mills and Kavadiguda

Pass holders/Invitees

Hyderabad traffic police have advised that all invitees attending the inaugural celebration read the Annexure given for alighting and approved parking locations. The invitees have also been urged by the traffic police to display their car passes clearly on the left side of their vehicle's windscreen for easy identification. They were also asked to cooperate with the Traffic police officers who patrol the routes, alighting spots and parking lots.
