Five arrested, 27 cases booked in Amit Shah video morphing case: Commissioner of Police
The police seized mobile phones and laptops from the accused and collected valuable information from Microblog X.
HYDERABAD: Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad Kothakota Srinivas Reddy informed that so far five people have been arrested and 27 cases were booked in the Home Minister Amit Shah doctored video case. All five were released on bail.
The Commissioner of Police said that action was initiated after several complaints were received that the video became viral on social media. The police seized mobile phones and laptops from the accused and collected valuable information from Microblog X.
He said that Hyderabad police shared information with the Delhi police who sought the First Information Report of the case. He said that an investigation was going on.
Giving details about the ongoing investigation of the phone tapping case, the CP said that a red corner notice would be issued against retired officer Prabhakar Rao. He said that police worked diligently despite efforts to erase pertinent data. He warned that no one would spared and action would be initiated against the culprits.
