RGIA Shamshabad Police has arrested four persons for creating a ruckus under the influence of alcohol on an Indigo flight travelling between Doha and Kochi via Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Shamshabad Police has arrested four persons for creating a ruckus under the influence of alcohol on an Indigo flight travelling between Doha and Kochi via Hyderabad.
Following a complaint from an Indigo employee, Sri Krishna Sharma, the police on Thursday night arrested four persons who were identified as P Siva Kumar, Varghese, Menakar Devaskutty and Devisdivin. All of them were natives of Kochi in Kerala.
RGIA Shamshabad Police Circle Inspector (CI) Srinivas said that all the four arrested persons were travelling to Cochin from Doha. They purchased liquor in a duty-free store in Doha and consumed it on the flight. After noticing this, the cabin crew cautioned the four arrested people not to create a ruckus on the flight. However, they stopped consuming the liquor and assured them of not creating any disturbance for other passengers.
After sometime, the four arrested persons again started consuming the liquor and disturbed the other passengers while they were deboarding at RGIA. Irked over their behaviour, Sri Krishna Sharma gave a written complaint to the police. “We have arrested the four persons for causing severe inconvenience to the passengers during the flight journey. A case has been registered against them and further investigation is underway into the matter,” the CI said.
